I watched the first 45 minutes last night and look forward to watching the rest tonight.
This is absolutely brilliant. It's not only the history of the Cockney Rejects, it's a bloody good look at the history of the 20th century East End, and you get to see a bit of what it was like back in the day.
Proper West ham. No fucking about with Ws, I mean Prrrrroper West Ham, with a capital W and and capital A.

Watched the rest of this last night.
Fuck me, that was a good watch. All those Hobbity bollocks movies fall well short of capturing the buzz of the day compared to the recounting of the "Battle of Birmingham" in this. It had the hairs on the back of my neck up and it brought it all back more than anything I've seen. Good bit of film making for this bit.
Top quality history lesson.

Saw this last year at the Cockney Heritage Festival over the island.
As Lily hammer says it was hairs on the back of the gregory stuff.

For anyone than might be interested. The documentary's based on Jeff's book, and there's a lot more detail on stuff like the Birmingham gig, Top of the Pops etc. Plus loads of stuff that didn't make it into the documentary at all.
It's worth it just for the story of what happened when them and their mates got hold of some tickets to a Cambridge May Ball.
